CANAL BOAT TRIP

Jackie Prichard is thinking of putting on a canal boat day trip in July or August and is looking to see how much interest from u3a members there would be. The cost would be approx £20.00.  If you think you might be interested, please contact Jackie direct, via email:  hltlanguages@gmail.com.

PETANQUE

For anyone who does not know, the new Petanque group is up and running on Monday mornings, 10.00-12.00 and Friday afternoons 2.00-4.00 in the Community Sports Centre at a cost of £2.00 per session (if you want to join the CCS there is an entra cost of £4.00 yearly).  Information about how to play the game etc is available on the u3a web page (market drayton u3a) or from the group convenor Brian Carpenter (07817 508396).

FRENCH CLASSES

The French classes have closed for the summer but plan to start up again in early October.  Exact dates/times TBC.  Anyone who wishes to join then will be very welcome.  The class will be moving on the from point previously reached so a little basic knowledge would be helpful for new members.  For more info:  Liz Whitehead - whiteheades2211@aol.com
